Ending the extra $300 Pandemic unemployment payments is not having an impact on workforce participation. The data is early (payments ended in June) as studied by Columbia University, Harvard University, and UMass Amherst – and reported on CNBC this week.
The reality: we have math problem and a skill mismatch in the craft and technical trades. There are simply not enough people with the skillsets to meet the demands – now, and over the next 10 years.
